It is a bootrom exploit used to jailbreak certain Apple devices, allowing users to gain access to the device's root file system and install custom firmware and applications. It was the first jailbreak to work on the iPhone 4, iPad, and iPod Touch 4G. It was released in October 2010. Limera1n is compatible with a wide range of Apple devices, including the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, and Apple TV 2. Limera1n enables users to install custom applications, themes, and extensions on their device, as well as access root file system and customize their device.
