Durante años soñé con encontrar una alternativa similar en linux al conocido windirstat (para ventanas), ya que las dos alternativas ofrecidas en la mayoría de las distribuciones, baobab y filelight, muestran el espacio ocupado por los archivos y carpetas en círculos concéntricos en lugar de rectángulos. . Esto tiene la limitación de que cuando los archivos grandes se anidan de forma profunda o superficial en carpetas, es difícil compararlos, encontrarlos, etc. ¡Imagínese mi sorpresa cuando descubrí que Windirstat tiene su concepto e incluso su nombre de este programa! No es el programa de elección porque es lento. El Informe del Directorio es más rápido. Hola, el Informe del Directorio es para Windows, no Linux. Y sí, Kdirstat es rápido. Finalmente, una buena alternativa para Linux ahora que se ha descontinuado: ¡gdmap es rápido y excelente! Baobab incluía mapas de ruta, pero todavía son un poco engorrosos.
