KDE Connect is an open source software suite designed to provide a secure and seamless connection between devices running the KDE Plasma Desktop environment, such as a laptop and a smartphone. It is designed to allow users to easily share files, notifications, and other information between devices over a local network, or even remotely over the internet. The app works by installing the KDE Connect software on both the desktop and the device. Once installed, the two devices will be able to communicate with each other, and can be used to share files, control the desktop from the device, and receive notifications from the desktop on the device. The app also supports a range of other features, such as remote control of media playback, and the ability to use the device as a remote control for the desktop.
AirDroid is not available for Linux.
Contrary to other comments that Airdroid is not available for Linux ... it actually is. HOWEVER, it exists only as an app from the webext Google Chome / Chromium app stores. (I personally use Chromium over Chrome, whichever you choose is neither better nor worse). Not only is it available for US Linux fans (And Girls !!!!), it's also available for those of us who are dirty traitors that happen. to also have iOS on hand .... So, yes, you can also include your iPhone / Pad, etc. ... CHEERIO MATES !
It's free! and it has all the necessary features
Discontinued Probably discontinued: last updated in 2016, the app never made it out of the alpha version.
