Description

Jabberd is an open source, extensible, instant messaging (IM) and presence server written in the C language. It is distributed under a BSD-style license and is available on a variety of platforms, including Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, and Solaris. Jabberd supports both one-to-one and multi-user chat, and provides a number of features such as file sharing, security, user management, and integration with other applications. It is used by organizations to provide IM services, by developers to create IM clients, and by individuals and organizations to create their own IM networks.
