Iometer is a computer performance and benchmarking tool used to measure and analyze the performance of I/O operations on computer systems. It is designed to generate workloads and measure the performance of computer storage subsystems in order to determine the peak performance of the system. Iometer can be used to simulate disk, network, and application I/O operations to measure the performance of physical and virtual systems, as well as cloud-based environments. It can also be used to measure the performance of individual components within a system, such as disk drives, RAID controllers, network interfaces, and other storage devices. With Iometer, users can quickly and accurately measure the performance of their systems and make informed decisions about hardware and software investments.
