InfoPath is a Microsoft application for creating and distributing dynamic forms over the web and within organizations. It is designed to help individuals and businesses quickly create, deploy, and share data-rich forms. Using InfoPath, organizations can quickly and easily create web forms, view and analyze data, and review and approve data-driven documents. The application allows users to create forms based on a wide range of data sources such as XML, databases, and web services. It also allows users to create sophisticated data entry forms with validation rules, calculations, and layout. Additionally, InfoPath enables users to publish forms to SharePoint sites, access information from external sources, and securely share data across the organization.
Cognito Forms provides many of the powerful form creation features found in InfoPath, including repeating sections, robust calculations, and the ability to generate PDF documents from forms. It also supports publishing forms data to SharePoint lists, including Office 365. However, it is much easier to understand and use than InfoPath.
