Description

GVfs (Gnome Virtual File System) is an open source file system developed by Gnome, a project of the GNU software foundation. It is designed to provide an easy and secure way to access, share, and manage files across multiple devices. GVfs is a virtual file system that runs as a background process on the user’s computer. It can be used to access remote file systems, such as those on an FTP server, an SSH server, or an SFTP server, as well as files stored on the local computer. GVfs provides several features, such as an automatic remote file indexing system, support for multiple file formats, a built-in FTP client, and integration with cloud storage services. GVfs is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows.
