Description

Guild Wars 2 is an online multiplayer role-playing game developed by ArenaNet and published by NCSoft. It is the second installment of the Guild Wars game series and was released on August 28, 2012. Guild Wars 2 is set in the fantasy world of Tyria and features a storyline centered around the reemergence of the Elder Dragons, powerful and destructive creatures that have taken over the world. Players take on the role of heroes who must battle these creatures, as well as other players, to save the world. Players can explore the world either solo or in groups, taking on dynamic events, dynamic questing, and personal story content. While the game is mostly PvE (player versus environment), players can also engage in PvP (player versus player) battles in several different game modes, including world versus world and structured PvP. Guild Wars 2 also features a unique class system, allowing players to choose from eight professions to customize their character. Each profession has its own weapons, abilities, and specializations. Players can also pick a race to make their character more unique. Guild Wars 2 also features an extensive crafting system, allowing players to make their own armor, weapons, and items. There is also an auction house where players can buy and sell items. Guild Wars 2 is free-to-play, but players can also purchase expansions and optional in-game items. The game is regularly updated with new content and events.
