Una solución simple es usar mencoder para convertir y volver a indexar el archivo: mencoder -idx desktop_recording.ogv -ovc lavc -oac mp3lame -o fix.avi He escuchado que simplescreenrecorder es una buena alternativa, pero no hay archivos binarios disponibles en Mi plataforma (todavía).

Todavía disponible para la mayoría (¿todas?) Distribuciones de Linux. Puede cifrar las grabaciones en tiempo real como el video, pero utiliza muchos recursos (CPU, GPU, etc.). Lo encontró para ser fácil de usar y confiable. Guarda la grabación incluso si la computadora falla o se apaga repentinamente. SimpleScreenRecorder también suele estar disponible en la mayoría de las distribuciones de Linux. Ambos capturan audio y pantalla, etc.

Una buena aplicación. Es realmente capaz de grabar una sección de la pantalla, pantalla completa o seguir el mouse. Sin embargo, grabar juegos es complicado. La única forma de sincronizar el sonido con el video es mediante otra aplicación de sonido. Como outRec o Audacity (para micrófono) .Alas, la mayor decepción de esta aplicación es su incapacidad para grabar juegos en pantalla completa O tener video + audio sincronizado. Es genial solo para video, no tanto audio. Escuchado que FFmpeg es excelente, el problema es que está completamente orientado a la CLI, además de los tutoriales / guías escasos que lo hacen difícil de aprender.

Me encanta y uso gtkRecordMyDesktop, pero cuidado, hay problemas que he experimentado una y otra vez. Contras: con la grabación de sonido habilitada, el video se desincroniza después de un par de minutos. No puede grabar juegos de PANTALLA COMPLETA (como todos los demás grabadores de Linux que probé con tristeza) Solo graba en .ogv (no hay opción para cambiar esto) Ventajas: Muy simple y fácil de usar Interfaz de usuario. Tiene una gran cantidad de buenas funcionalidades y configuraciones intercambiables a su disposición. Casi no siento ningún retroceso en el rendimiento cuando se graba (probado en mi portátil HP de poca especificación). El mejor combo que he encontrado al grabar juegos es usar gtkRecordMyDesktop solo para VIDEO y outRec para la grabación de sonido de escritorio.
Combina estos dos, y estoy listo para ir.
