Google Goggles is a visual search tool developed by Google that allows users to search for information using images on their mobile device. It can recognize objects, landmarks, and artwork through a process called image recognition. It works by analyzing an image, understanding the context, and then providing relevant search results. For example, you can take a picture of a landmark, and Google Goggles will provide you with detailed information about the place. It can also be used to search for products, recognize books, and identify logos. Google Goggles is available for both Android and iOS devices.
Both applications are designed to detect images, QR codes, etc. with optical recognition to search for information. In addition, Image Analysis Toolset has additional features to also detect landmarks, colors, has better OCR and a much broader feature set. Google Goggles only allows direct detection with the camera, Image Analysis Toolset allows detecting from the camera and also from stored images.
