Android Things is an operating system based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) that is optimized for powering Internet of Things (IoT) devices. It makes it easy for developers to create secure, connected devices that can be updated with the latest features and security patches over the air. Android Things provides a comprehensive set of hardware and software tools designed to help developers create embedded systems that interact with the physical world. It includes a rich set of APIs, libraries, and system services to access the GPIO, PWM, I2C, SPI, and UART peripherals and sensors, as well as cloud services. It also provides a console for managing devices and applications, and a secure, over-the-air (OTA) update system.
