Gnash is an open-source application for playing video and movies on the web. It is based on the GNU Project's GNU Flash player, which is a free software replacement for Adobe's proprietary Flash player. Gnash supports many of the features of the Adobe Flash player, including vector graphics, bitmap graphics, text, video, and audio. It also supports streaming media, streaming video, and streaming audio. Gnash is available for a variety of operating systems, including Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.
