Franz is a free messaging app and communication platform that helps users stay connected to the people and services they need most. It combines the major messaging services such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Slack, Telegram, and WeChat into a single, unified interface. It also supports voice and video calls, allowing users to easily connect with their contacts. With Franz, users can keep up with important conversations no matter which messaging service they prefer. They can also customize their workspace with custom colors and themes, or even use the platform to manage multiple accounts across different services. Additionally, Franz is designed to be secure and private, with end-to-end encryption on all messages and calls.
Like Franz, the credential notifications are quite confusing.
Open source application with a large list of supported messaging types!
Rambox has a similar concept to Franz and has more services than Franz, which makes it extremely attractive. However, Rambox is still too simple: it forgets its configuration when trying to restore from a backup and when it has more than 25 services, it simply does not see more than 25 and navigating between them is cumbersome.
Very similar to Franz. Same base (Electron) and same concept (window with multiple tabs with separate sessions). But Rambox is very immature and has design UI details, notification, user experience, so now I prefer to stay in Franz.
Very similar, plus its open source.
More than 400 applications. Very modern design. It also has a notification manager.
Discontinued empathy is not currently maintained. The latest version, 3.25, released in August 2017, can still be downloaded from the official website.
YakYak is a client only for Google Hangouts
It does not support the same range of messengers.
You have to pay a subscription to use, WhatsApp Messenger and others.
Bundleware Tenga cuidado durante la instalación: https://alternativeapp.info/discussions/applications/11718/be-careful-in-the-installation/
It is not a multi-protocol application as long as Franz does.

Mucho mejor

Very similar concept. Rambox is also open source and supports more applications.
