FlipaClip is a powerful, easy-to-use mobile and desktop animation application that allows users to create stunning animations on the go. It has a wide range of tools and features to help users make dynamic and expressive animations. FlipaClip allows users to draw, edit, and animate their own characters, backgrounds, and other elements in a variety of different animation styles. It also offers a library of pre-made characters, backgrounds, and other elements to help users get started quickly and easily. The application also has an extensive audio library to choose from, allowing users to add music and sound effects to their animations. With FlipaClip, users can upload their animations to YouTube, share them on social media, or even turn them into GIFs.
This is not even an animation application.
It has the flipbook feature and works flawlessly as well.
You must use the desktop version, which is still free, and you get Flipbook.
Autodesk Sketchbook is a drawing application and cannot create animations.
You can't do animations, but it runs smoothly. It's pretty good, but ... not the best.
OpenToonz is too advanced to compare with FlipaClip.
You can't select free! And I can't seem to find the form tools.
It's very easy to understand and very simple, and that's the best way to do it.

Discontinued The official website is no longer available, but the latest version, 3.0.0, released in April 2011, can still be downloaded from Wayback Machine.
It does not show many similarities (if any) to FlipaClip, and is confusing while showing no obvious guidelines to help you.
Discontinued The official website is no longer available. The latest version, 3.0.0.55, released in March 2014, can still be downloaded from Softpedia.
Discontinued The project is no longer being developed. The final version, 1.9.9, released in November 2010, can still be downloaded from the official website.
Synfig is very complex, anyone who puts it as an alternative to Flipaclip is just missing a screw or four. Flipaclip has one of the easiest to use interfaces and Synfig ... just doesn't do it.
