Description

Exiv2 is an open source command line utility and library for manipulating EXIF, IPTC, and XMP image metadata. It is a powerful tool for photographers and digital artists to store, view, and modify the metadata of their digital images. Exiv2 supports a wide variety of image formats, including RAW formats from most of the popular digital cameras. It can be used to edit or delete existing tags, extract thumbnail images, add comments, and view the image histogram and image properties. In addition, Exiv2 can be used to create and embed XMP sidecar files, as well as export image metadata to a CSV file. Exiv2 can be used to automate image processing and to automate metadata management for digital asset management.
