Description

Dmenu is a lightweight dynamic menu for X11 window managers. It reads a list of newline-separated items from standard input and creates a prompt window with each item as a selectable option. The user can then type in a search string to filter the list and press enter to select the highlighted item. It is designed to be fast, efficient and customizable, and is used in many popular window managers such as dwm, i3, larswm, and ratpoison.
