Default Folder X is a Mac OS X utility that improves the standard Open and Save dialogs found in applications. It enhances the user experience by providing quick access to files, folders, and applications. It also allows users to organize files into folders and add keyboard shortcuts to access them quickly. The app also provides a convenient way to access recent folders and files, as well as a menu bar icon for easy access. It also includes an integrated Spotlight search for quickly locating files and folders. Additionally, it adds powerful features such as file tagging, labeling, and metadata support. All of these features make Default Folder X an essential tool for optimizing the way you work with files and folders on your Mac.
Listery is small and fast. And it has the feature I wanted most, one that Listery calls Quick Switch. Go to open or save a file and you'll see the standard file dialog box. Click in an open Explorer window and then go back to the file dialog box. The file dialog box is now in the same folder as the Explorer window you clicked on. This is a huge time saver for me, and the feature I wanted most.
