Description

dcraw is an open source digital camera raw file converter program initially written by Dave Coffin in 1997. It is a command-line utility that enables users to convert raw files from many digital cameras into a more easily readable format, such as TIFF/JPEG/PPM/PNG. It reads and writes image files in a wide variety of formats, including digital camera raw files, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PPM, and others. It is the only free and open-source software for converting raw image files. It supports almost all digital cameras, and is able to decode a wide variety of raw formats, from cameras such as Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic, Leica, and many more. dcraw enables users to adjust various parameters of the conversion, such as white balance, exposure, contrast, color saturation, and more. It also supports a wide range of image manipulation operations, such as cropping, rotating, resizing, and color space transformations. dcraw is available for free under a GPL license, and is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
