Clonk is a classic multiplayer strategy and action game that has been around since 1997. Players engage in an all-out battle, either in teams or free for all. The objective of the game is to build a settlement and protect it from the enemies. Players take on the role of an individual character, or "clonk", and use their own resources to build and defend their settlement. The game involves a wide range of elements such as gathering resources, constructing buildings, developing technologies and combat. The game is set on a variety of terrain and landscape, including deserts, mountains and underground caverns. The environment can be manipulated by players for their advantage, for example by digging or blasting through the terrain. There are a range of game modes, including team-based missions, capture the flag, and the classic free-for-all. Clonk is highly customizable, allowing players to customize their character and environment. The game also features an in-game scripting system which allows players to create their own custom modifications to the game. The game has won multiple awards and is still popular today, with a thriving online community and a range of official tournaments.
Discontinued In October 2013, the development was stopped and the source code is available on Github. In May 2016 the developer is planning to revisit the project.
