ClamXav is a free anti-virus and malware scanner for Mac OS X. It is designed to detect and remove viruses, Trojans, spyware, adware and other malicious threats from your Mac. The application provides real-time protection from known threats and runs periodic scans to detect and remove any threats that may have been added to your system. It also includes a quarantine feature which allows you to temporarily move files to an isolated area of your hard drive to be scanned and cleaned. ClamXav also allows you to manually scan individual files or folders on your Mac, as well as providing a quarantine feature which allows you to temporarily move files to an isolated area of your hard drive.
