CentrIM is a multi-protocol instant messaging (IM) application for the Linux and Windows operating systems. It provides users an easy way to communicate with friends and family, using a variety of popular IM protocols, including AIM, ICQ, MSN, Jabber, Yahoo, and IRC. CentrIM features an easy-to-use graphical user interface, and also supports file transfers, voice calls, and video calls, as well as group chats. The application is highly customizable, allowing users to customize its appearance, configure various options, and extend its functionality with plugins. In addition to the main application, CentrIM also provides a Web-based client, which allows users to access their IM conversations from any computer with an Internet connection and a web browser. The Web-based client also features a wide range of features, including sound notifications, spell checking, and multi-language support.
Discontinued empathy is not currently maintained. The latest version, 3.25, released in August 2017, can still be downloaded from the official website.
