Description

CAS (Central Authentication Service) is an open-source authentication and single sign-on system that provides secure authentication between web applications and client applications. It is designed to both reduce the complexity of authentication and authorization and increase the security of web applications. CAS enables a user to login to multiple applications with a single set of credentials, eliminating the need to remember multiple usernames and passwords. CAS also provides secure access control for applications, allowing for selective access to application resources and data based on user roles and permissions. CAS can also be used to handle user authentication and authorization with external services, such as LDAP and SAML.
