BURP (Backup and Recovery Program) is an open source, cross-platform backup and recovery utility. It provides users with the ability to create and manage backups of their computers, applications, databases, and other data. It enables users to restore their systems to a previous state in case of system failure, data corruption, or other unexpected events. BURP supports both full and incremental backups, allowing users to save only the parts of the system that have changed since the last backup. It also supports multiple storage locations, allowing users to choose the most convenient and secure place to store their backups. BURP offers a wide range of features, such as backup scheduling, data compression, encryption, backup verification, and email notifications. It also provides users with an intuitive, user-friendly graphical user interface to make the backup and recovery process easier to manage.
Discontinued Current subscribers were informed last year that CrashPlan Home will be discontinued in October 2018. The service has recommended users sign up for another home service such as Carbonite, or for CrashPlan's much more expensive business plan.
