Bomberman is a classic arcade game released in 1983 by Hudson Soft which has been ported to many platforms over time. The game revolves around the player controlling a bomberman who must race against time to strategically place bombs in order to clear a maze of enemies, items, and power-ups. The player is able to move around the maze while placing bombs, which will explode after a certain amount of time. The goal of the game is to use the bombs to destroy the enemies and clear the maze before the timer runs out. The player can also collect power-ups which will give them special abilities such as the ability to create larger explosions or the ability to move faster. Bomberman has gone on to become a popular franchise spawning numerous sequels and spin-offs for multiple platforms.
