Bit.ly is a free URL shortening service and one of the most popular services of its kind. It allows users to shorten, share, and track links (URLs). When a user shortens a URL on bit.ly, the service creates a unique and shorter version of the original link and stores the original link in its database. This shortened version can then be used to easily share the link with others, as it is much shorter and easier to remember. Additionally, bit.ly provides detailed analytics on the performance of each link, including the number of clicks, referrers, and geographical information. This allows users to better track and measure the success of their campaigns or content.

Qlink.me is much faster and safer. It contains no ads and is very lightweight. It makes your link archived so it is not lost when the provider goes down. Also Qlink.me has friendlier terms of use and privacy policy.

I love its friendly url function.
