Beacon (AWS Cloud Security on Slack) is an application that provides cloud security monitoring and alerting for Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers. It enables customers to use Slack to receive notifications of security threats and vulnerabilities within their AWS environment. Beacon leverages the security intelligence of AWS Security Hub to detect and alert on potential security issues. It also provides visibility into the security posture of their AWS environment and compliance with security best practices. With Beacon, users can receive notifications of threats, investigate and take action swiftly, as well as access a comprehensive list of resources to help them resolve security issues quickly. Beacon also provides a range of customizable policies that can be configured to alert on specific security issues. Additionally, Beacon allows users to set up automated security responses using Amazon Lambda functions. This allows users to respond to security threats within minutes, without having to manually intervene.
