aswMBR (Anti-Spyware Malwarebytes Rootkit) is a free, open-source tool designed to detect and remove rootkits from your computer. It works by scanning your computer's memory and hard drive for rootkits, malicious files, and other malicious software. It then quarantines and removes the malicious files, thus protecting your system from the damage that rootkits can cause. aswMBR can be used on Windows systems, and is available for download from the Malwarebytes website.
Discontinued. The program is currently unavailable on the official website: the download option was removed in early 2017. The latest version, 1.0.3.9, released in December 2014, can still be downloaded from Wayback Machine.
