Description

Apertium is an open source, free software machine translation tool for translating text from one language to another. It is designed to help people who are learning a new language, or who are not native speakers of a language, to understand the content of text written or spoken in that language. Apertium works by using a set of translation rules, which are written in a programming language, and then uses a dictionary of words to identify the meaning of words and phrases in the source language. Apertium then translates the text into the target language using the translation rules and the words it has identified. Apertium also offers tools for adding new words and expressions to its dictionary, as well as tools for modifying the translation rules. Apertium also offers a range of user-friendly features, such as spell checkers and auto-completion, to make translation easier and faster.
