Estábamos usando Ansible, pero cuando superamos nuestro plan, descubrimos que querían $ 35,000 por año para aumentar a un límite de servidor más alto. Ansible es un buen producto, pero el precio es demasiado proporcional a la complejidad o el valor que agrega. Mi equipo de desarrollo escribió un script para lograr lo que necesitábamos en un día. $ 35,000 ahorrados. Cuando fui a cancelar, dijeron que nos quedamos estancados con el producto por año, otros 4 meses de pagos. Sí, si pasa por las páginas normales de "Acepto" para comprar software o servicios, lo encontrará allí. Además, encontrará que requieren un aviso con 90 días de anticipación para cancelar el servicio. Estas cosas se explican claramente en el acuerdo de licencia de varias páginas, por lo que técnicamente es honesto.
Simplemente no es ético. Personalmente desprecio tales prácticas comerciales coercitivas. Las empresas éticas no requieren "ventanas de cancelación". Solo deja de pagar cuando no lo necesites. Entonces, si usted hace negocios con Ansible, lea los contratos con mucho cuidado. No se limite a hacer el habitual "Estoy de acuerdo". O, mejor aún, considere cuidadosamente si desea hacer negocios con una compañía que necesita vigilar de cerca.
