This service is used to create high-quality, cost-effective media files for delivery to end users. It also provides the ability to transcode multiple files in parallel and to quickly create thumbnails to accompany the transcoded media files. With Amazon Elastic Transcoder, customers can quickly create video-on-demand (VOD) and audio-on-demand (AOD) content for their applications, as well as adaptive bitrate streaming formats for playback on any device.
