Adobe Muse is a development software and application created by Adobe Systems. It is a web design application that allows users to create HTML websites without having to write code. With Muse, users can design and build websites using a visual drag-and-drop editor. Users can also add interactive elements like slideshows, lightboxes, and video players. Adobe Muse helps users quickly create sophisticated, modern websites with a wide range of features and functions. It also provides users with access to Adobe's extensive library of templates and widgets. Finally, it includes optimized Adobe Hosting for hosting and publishing websites.
Discontinued The project seems to be discontinued. The last stable version, 0.7.10, was released in 2007 and the last development version, 0.8b3, in 2010, but the program can still be downloaded from the official website.
The discontinued Macaw was acquired by InVision: http://macaw.co/invision/ The latest version, 1.6, released in January 2016, can still be downloaded from the official website.
Discontinued As of September 2015, Microsoft Expression Web is no longer developed or supported. The latest version, 4.0.1460.0, released in December 2012, can still be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center.
Expression is more like Dreamweaver. No drag and drop support. Not very intuitive.
As in Adobe Muse, you have access to free-form creation without limitation. Although there are fewer styling options than Adobe Muse, PageCloud works very well with Adobe Photoshop. Bonus, you don't have to export the code to an external FTP site, it's in a WYSIWYG editor. You also have full access to the source code if you want to add custom elements / animations / scripts.
It is very easy to use and has many features that the Muse also has.
