Description

Add-apt-key is a command-line utility for Linux-based operating systems that allows users to securely add and manage repositories of software packages. It can be used to add and manage public keys used to verify the identity of software packages. This is done to ensure that only secure and trusted software packages are installed on a system. The utility supports the OpenPGP public key format as well as the GNU Privacy Guard (GPG) format, making it compatible with most software package repositories. It is also possible to add public keys manually using the add-apt-key command.
