Freemind is free, the mind manager is too trade driven. I used it for years, but no longer want to use it. Every year I needed to buy an upgrade to use the newer features, but the upgrade wasn't always worth it.
Freeplane is extensible with macros and custom plugins. It also has more styling options and look at graph functionality, such as summary nodes and shared nodes.
